John spent many years in what was then a more industrial and evolving Fort Point Channel, eventually moving to the community of Westwood as his family grew. Recently he relocated back into central Boston. Over the years John was involved in coaching and serving on a number of youth sport boards as well as mentoring young soccer referees. His greatest pride is his four young adult children. He enjoys yoga, meditation, and saltwater fishing. After his own experience being treated at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, John after many years hiatus is getting back to his cycling passion and returning as a rider this year’s Jimmy Fund PMC fundraiser.
ClinLab Staffing is a quickly growing medium sized Pharmaceutical Staffing firm based in Watertown, MA. Our internal staff size showed consistent growth and we were running out of space in our office, which before we met John was based in Wayland MA. As the owner of our firm, I took the project myself to source out and secure our company’s new home. We began with another real estate professional, however were not satisfied as we were consistently shown properties that didn’t fit with our budget and corporate culture needs. The commercial market in the greater Boston area is competitive, however with a little bit of research I was able to see that we were not being shown some available spaces that met our needs. John was introduced to me at this time and I am very grateful for the introduction. Because of his experience John was able to take us through the whole process and we were able to find the perfect location for our staff. Looking back, it was easy to see that this was a very difficult and extremely intricate process. From different lease options to locations needing buildouts, John was able to give me clear and concise options to choose from every step of the way. We were finally able to find the right spot, and John took over the negotiating process. He was able to negotiate our rent payment down to our “comfort zone” and was able to arbitrate a solution when a dispute came up with cost over-runs during the buildout. I honestly think without John’s guidance and oversight, we would never have been able to land the location that was best for our company. John offers a level of clarity and knowledge that would help in anyone’s search process. He really had our best interest in mind during the whole process, and again I am grateful that we were introduced to him!
